Much could have been done, but for what we did we are so grateful.

As a friend and supporter of our sports ministry program and the overall ministry of Adventures in Missions here in Eswatini (Swaziland) we wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your support and prayers.

We praise the Lord for His everlasting love and grace in an unpredictable environment Eswatini has become in the past few months. Despite all the challenges we have endured in the past namely the covid19 pandemic which has had negative effects on our why and how as a ministry, the petitions by the people at different constituencies, unlawful arrests of members of parliament opposed to the monarchial rule and sadly some innocent lives which were lost as factually reported in the local and foreign media platforms. In all these events we are so grateful for protection despite contracting the corona virus as a couple and having to undergo isolation- personal this was our worst ever period since we got married. But we had to look into the positive impact beyond isolation.

The sports ministry is growing leaps and bounds despite the challenges mentioned above. Presently there are routine daily meetings with selected group leaders within the senior academy team and meetings at care point/community level led by the new head coach of the Academy – Sifiso Ntokozo Tsabedze.Apart from the disciples meetings the team led by Thembinkhosi Maseko has had meetings with three new Life Coaches on a routine basis as they aim at empowering and equipping them in a number of areas so that they may be effective in their outreach and disciple making in the different community of origins. In addition an envisioning seminar was conducted this past month in Mpaka north of the country towards Maputo, Mozambique. It was a successful event where a group of Pastors from different churches gathered and showed some interest especially in raising Hub leaders and Life Coaches. We are so grateful for the opportunity. This past August one of our former full time coaches Bongekile Masuku graduated with her diploma in Education and she is already teaching at an orphanage, we praise the Lord for such personal hard work and development. This year Thokozani Motsa and Thembinkhosi Maseko will be completing their studies in Human Resources Management and Education respectively. We praise the Lord once again for consistency and hard work.A number of disciples are encouraged by such zeal and personal we have encouraged it to the extent that one of our six tertiary students is undergoing his attachment.

We have been trusting and believing the Lord for a training base. This past August we were able to agree with a community member and have been portioned a piece of land which will fit a full-size soccer field, mini soccer pitch, change rooms, sleeping dorms and cafeteria and space for future developments. Personal am so excited for the prospects of this site as its in the middle of the Ngculwini community and accessible by road and foot to our targeted disciples. For this project to be successful we have to pay for the land which we consider as phase one of the project, fencing and land clearing and this is $15000 – land purchase is $5000, land clearing and earthworks $5000 and fencing $5000.In addition we are trusting the lord for smaller extra vehicle, in 2019 our sport utility van was involved in accident and was a write off. For this we estimate at least $5000 which will be used for all the sports ministry errands.

Our fundraising campaign was cancelled (Comrades Marathon 2021 down run) i have been automatically been registered for the 2022 edition. And am looking forward to using this race as part of raising funds for the sports ministry training base.

The year is drawing towards an end, less was done in the playing fields but much was done in building the souls and characters of our disciples. We are grateful for your prayers and support. And we will try to always be consistent in providing feedback and updates from the Kingdom of Eswatini. On the other hand i have been assisting to facilitate leadership development sessions at Mdoni where a leadership development program for young people from different communities is under pioneering. It’s been a learning journey. The leaders of the program should be commended for the pioneering spirit as our continent is in critical need of leaders (especially Eswatini in the wake of the recent unrest and turmoil we have experienced)

We are moving from Malkerns – for the past two years we moved from Ngculwini to join Sandie as she got a job in a lodge just a kilometre from Mdoni. However this has had a negative impact on my role within the sports ministry as a result we reflected and considered moving back to Madonsa-Manzini which is not closer by close to our training sports ministry base if compared to Malkerns. We have been nomadic since Lubabalo was born but we hope to settle down at Madonsa for some time as the Lord wishes us to be serving in the Kingdom of Eswatini. On a lighter note, being in Malkerns in the past two years has led to a number of relationships which we are grateful for in so many ways. Secondly, we started a crop and vegetable project with an objective of keeping our disciples busy during these unprecedented times of covid19. However there has been challenges of accommodation (which we will address at some point). There is a huge need for extra hands and this in an opportunity to plug in some of disciples to make an extra income and also learn a skill in farming. On the other hand, our goal is to supplement our support and income. And as things stand, we are looking forward at selling green mealies and cabbages. This November I will be registering for my last year of Bachelor of Laws degree, it’s taken long but the wait has been worth it. Its highly likely that I will complete the program this August if we do not experience any form of interruptions. I have been asked a number of questions of what I will do with the program, personal I wish to serve athletes as a middle man and continue to impart their lives for the Kingdom. In addition there are opportunities to serve our communities as we live law on daily basis and there are a number of situations in our society which need redress by sadly since its one expensive service a number of cases have slipped under the carpets in our communities.

This December we (family) are planning on visiting our family in Zimbabwe and introduce Lubabalo to his immediate relatives. We are excited for this trip and looking forward to it. However, as things stand, we are way short in our budget, for this trip to be successful we should raise at $1000.Any once off contributions will be greatly appreciated. We have paused our house project and are praying with the hope that the Lord will guide us on where to settle eventual. This trip will be one of the ways towards directing our steps.

Thank you for all your prayers and the financial support during the course of the year. Siyabonga!!!!

May the Lord bless you.
