I was born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe married to Sandisile Ncube and we are blessed with a son Lubabalo Keagan born in 2018. All three of us are Zimbabweans. My story of emigrating from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe is long. But short in that it’s a testimony of a life transforming journey of twelve years serving and leading others to Christ. I studied physical education and sport, my ultimate dream growing up was to compete at the highest level in track and field and someday to represent my nation major sporting events. This changed at some point when Zimbabwe was undergoing tough economic conditions and at this point i decided to join masses to search for greener pastures beyond our borders. I was fortunate to have joined Adventures In Missions and Children’s Hope Chest as they were pioneering a discipleship program in the communities of Eswatini. I served in a team of seven Swazi leaders and we were the D- Team (Discipleship Team) that engaged children at the care points. It was during this tenure of service that I truly discovered identity and some of my struggles. A number of the children we reached out to were from underprivileged backgrounds. It was common in all the care points that at some point they will dropout from school, girls will be impregnated, abuse of alcohol and exposure to criminal activities at a tender age. Their life stories were not in any way different from mine, as I had been raised in a fatherless home without any influence of a male figure. It was the Lord’s blessing that I was fortunate to earn a teaching qualification and also compete in sport. But there were a number of questions I had which could not be answered and my identity was in sport and it was everything. I kept my faith in the Lord which i was introduced to at a tender age but still there was a mystery hole which could not be filled.

In 2012 I pioneered a sports ministry department under the auspices of Adventures in Missions and Children’s Hope Chest so as to make disciples of Christ in the world of sport and play while addressing to tackle the issues of fatherlessness. The ministry has grown in the past five years and we presently have a team of Life Coaches drawn from the different parts of the country, coaching sport and mentoring teenagers to fully understand the gospel. We conduct sports camps, coaching clinics, tournaments and in the process of building a soccer academy. The next five to ten years are exciting as we will be consolidating our efforts of the past five years towards expansion to other parts of the country. Apart from the sports ministry, which I now consider as life mission I have been privileged with the role of developing and serving young Swazi leaders.

My hope is to influence leaders in the Kingdom of Eswatini in the world of sport and beyond who will further adopt the great commission of making disciples (Matthew 28:19 -20) where so ever the lord will lead them.
